TACO TUESDAY RECIPE

SO WHAT, IF IT’S ANY OTHER DAY BUT TUESDAY- ITS STILL TACO TUESDAY!

I’m about to tell you that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny DONT exist… So let’s cut to the chase. The taco is simple; the shell, cheese, meat, lettuce and salsa. That’s a taco, nothing more nothing less. IT IS NOT SOME MAGICAL TACO SEASONING. So stop buying “taco seasoning”. It’s like hunting Big-Foot or the Abominable Snowman, it doesn’t exist

Now let’s make some Tacos with some incredibly healthy flavors and seasonings!

KEY CBC SEASONINGS:

+ Me Myself & Lime (Lime, Chilies, Basil, Cilantro, Kiwi)– A sexy pure blend of sweet heat and tangy herbs

+ Bell of The Ball (Bell Pepper, Smoked Paprika, Raspberry)– A fresh pure pick of sweet, tangy and savory yumminess

+ Habla Habanero (Habanero, Bell Pepper, Carrot, Orange)– A robust punch of pure heat, with a touch of savory sweetness

+ Sassy Me (Sesame Seed, Pepper Corn, Hawaiian Lava Salt, Vanilla Bean)– A roasted smoky spark of earth, combined with a sweet pure blend of vanilla

RECIPE PART 1 THE PROTEIN:

- Cook by Color Seasonings: Me Myself & Lime + Bell of The Ball

- ½ pound of ANY meat
- ½ Red Onion

- Lime
- 2 Pinches Coconut Sugar or Table Sugar

- (Optional) 2 shots of Tequila

RECIPE PART 2 THE TORTILLA:

- Cook by Color Seasonings: Bell of The Ball

- White or Yellow Corn Tortillas

- Mixed white and yellow cheddar cheese

- 2 Pinches Coconut Sugar or Table Sugar

RECIPE PART 3 THE VEGGIES:

- Cook by Color Seasonings: Sassy Me

- ½ Purple or Green Cabbage or 5 cups shredded cabbage

- Lime

- 4 tablespoons Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil

(OPTIONAL) RECIPE PART 4 THE SALSA:

- Cook by Color Seasonings: Habla Habanero

- 1 whole Mango

- 1 yellow Tomato (or red)

- ¼ of a whole Yellow or White Onion

 DIRECTIONS:

1. Cabbage Time: Start with shredding the cabbage and placing it in a bowl. Squeeze one whole Lime on top of the cabbage; add Olive Oil and Sassy Me. Knead and mix all together with your hands. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

2. Salsa Time: You don’t need a blender for this but it helps. Ok… dice the tomatoes, mango and onions then lightly, lightly, lightly sprinkle Habla Habanero seasoning on top and mix. You may add more Habla Habanero, depending on the level of heat you like. Place in refrigerator until food is ready.

3. Tortilla Time: Set a pan/skillet on medium heat with Olive Oil. While the Olive Oil is warming up, lay out the tortillas on the counter. Now on one tortilla add a pinch of sugar, a little bit of cheese and season with Bell of The Ball. Grab another tortilla and stack it on top, like a sandwich. Use a spatula to pick it up and place it in the skillet/pan. Cook until golden brown on one side and flip. Remove once the other side is golden brown or until the cheese in the center is melted. Repeat as many times as you want.

3. Protein Time: Place diced protein and red onions in a hot skillet/pan. Season with Me Myself & Lime and Bell of The Ball then squeeze a whole Lime on top. Cook Protein fully, place inside of bowl then sit to the side.

4. Toppings Time: Grab your sandwich like tortilla; add a pinch of cheese, spoonful of protein, spoonful of cabbage, spoonful of salsa and a pinch of salt. Now that is a Healthy and Flavorful Taco!!!
